Earl Ray “Bear” Sutton, 84, of San Saba, passed away peacefully in Brownwood on October 18, 2023. He was born on June 6, 1939, in San Saba to Anderson Theodore “Buster” Sutton and Emaline Martha Blackwood Sutton.

Melissa 'Lisa' Sloan Foil was born October 3,1956, in San Saba, Texas, to Peter Claude Sloan and Johnnie Lou Ewing. She passed on September 18, 2023, at her home on her family ranch in Sloan Community, San Saba, Texas.

Johnnie Golden

Born on November 15, 1934, Johnnie Golden learned early on that family was not limited by blood or expectations. Adopted at six weeks old by parents in their fifties, Johnnie always knew that family was what you made it. Johnnie Golden was my Nonnie, although that is not entirely accurate.

James (Jimmy) Ernest Jones

James (Jimmy) Ernest Jones at the age of 89, went to celebrate with Jesus on August 18, 2023. Jimmy was born to Orby and Beulah Jones in Beaumont, Texas, on December 13, 1933. As a young boy, he spent his days hunting, fishing, and camping with friends in the woods along Sandy Creek.

Kenneth D. Bailey, 89, of Stephenville, passed away on August 16, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the West End Cemetery in Stephenville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.
