Lance Newby was born on January 6, 1967 in San Saba, Texas to L.A. Newby and Annette Hubbert Newby. Lance attended Richland Springs school district where he graduated in 1985. He went on to attend TSTI where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering in 1989.

Fidel Paredez, 78, of Kempner, was laid to rest at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mr. Paredez died October 23, 2023. Aside from family, one of Fidel's proudest accomplishments was his military career.

Martha Sue Hoffmeyer Moody was born in Tyler, Texas, December 7, 1934. She was the daughter of Alfred Herman Hoffmeyer and Willie B. Hill. She married Thomas Arthur Moody of Danbury, Connecticut, on August 17, 1957. They lived in Louisville, Kentucky, before moving back to Texas in 1991.
