Sharon Sue Terry, affectionately known as 'Meme,' passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at her home in Tow, Texas, on December 23, 2023, at the age of 80. Born on April 2, 1943, in Dallas, Texas, to Prentis and Earlene Spencer, Sharon's life was a testament to the love and care she bestowed upon her family and community.

Meme was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Jim Terry, with whom she shared a life full of love and devotion; her sisters: Joyce Lee, Pat Maddox, and Linda Nolan; and her, brother Hank Spencer. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her surviving brother, Bob Spencer and his wife Jackie of Wyoming.

Sharon's legacy continues through her children: Susan and husband Paul Marberry of Tow, Mark and wife Suni Terry of Richland Springs, and Brian and wife Jancey Terry of Tow. She was a proud grandmother to Anthony Marberry, Taylor and husband Jason Claiborne, Morgan Terry, Ember Burns and Jason Anderson, Jesi and husband Sam Clark, Niki Terry and Randy Davis, and Dallas Terry. Her seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, will miss her dearly.

Meme's life was a reflection of her faith and commitment to her community. As a devout Christian, she was an active member of the Caney Baptist Church in Streetman, where she formed many lifelong friendships and served with a generous heart. Her role as a homemaker was one she held with honor, creating a warm and welcoming home for all who entered.

Sharon's influence extended beyond her immediate family to her numerous nieces and nephews and her cherished 'lake framily,' a group of friends who became like family through shared times. Her kindness, wisdom, and humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Meme's passions were as plentiful as her love for others. She found joy in the simplest of life's pleasures and was known for her ability to make everyone around her feel special and loved. Her unwavering faith guided her through life's challenges and triumphs, and she was an inspiration to many.

The family of Sharon wishes to express their gratitude for the love and support they have received during this time of loss. They take comfort in knowing that Meme is now at peace and reunited with her husband and siblings in eternal rest.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 27th, at 2 p.m., in the family cemetery of Adams Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas.
