Receipts totaled 2,894 head. Demand continued to be strong again this week. The stocker steers sold $4-$5 higher with 17 steers 395 lbs at $455.00 ($1797.25) and 12 steers with 577 lbs at $370.00 ($2134.90). The stocker heifers were $5-$8 higher with 16 heifers 287 lbs at $505.00 ($1449.

The San Saba Rotary Club proudly recognized groups of exceptional students during its annual Honor Student banquet held on Thursday, May 15th.

SCV Camp to meet in Lampasas County

The Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV), Saltworks Camp No. 2353 will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, June 3rd, at 3 p.m. at the Campbell Park Pavilion in Lampasas. A meal featuring BBQ brisket and red beans will be provided.

Macedo, Blossman, Hardy, and others honored at May City Council Meeting

Utility Coordinator Bridgett Macedo was selected as the Employee of the Month for May of 2025. Bridgett has been with the city for 13 years. She was described by City Treasurer Charlene Lindsay as an excellent, valuable employee.

That is the way it was described by City Public Works Director Scott Glaze when asked about the damage at the golf course. He said, “You just have to see it.”He took me on a tour, and sure enough, there are many limbs down, big limbs... really big limbs.
