It was an exciting week of football as the Cherokee Indians took on county rival, the Richland Springs Coyotes. The junior high Indians did something on Thursday that had not been done for numerous years; they defeated Richland Springs with a score of 21 – 20.

Lady Dillos’ Varsity Cross Country dominates again in Stephenville

The San Saba High School varsity cross country team continued its impressive 2020 season on Wednesday, October 7 when the Dillos and Lady Dillos traveled to take part in the annual Thrill of the Hill meet hosted by Stephenville High School.

It was another great week for Cherokee football. The junior high Indians fought hard on the road in Lometa. The Indians won 28 to 20. According to Coach Shipman, “Key offensive plays were turned in by Joel Valdez. A good team defense was led by Emmett Jones.

Homecoming week is history, and we want to congratulate all the classes that participated in homecoming events. Homecoming spirit days and pep rally were all fun. Grades 9-12 nominated their respective class sweethearts for homecoming queen honors.

CTC offers Fire Service Administration degree program

Central Texas College (CTC) recently announced current firefighters can now earn an Associate of Applied Science Degree through the school’s Fire Service Administration degree program.
