San Saba Lodge #612 to meet May 31 st

San Saba Lodge No. 612 will have a called meeting on Monday, May 31st. The purpose is for proficiency in the 3rd degree. Lodge will open at 9:00 a.m. A practice will be held at the Lodge on Friday, June 4th, at 9:00 a.m. All Master Masons are encouraged to attend.

It is hard to believe, but just two weeks of school remain in the 2020-2021 school year. The COVID stranglehold is easing its grip on Texas, especially in rural Richland Springs. We are all hoping to get back to ‘normal’ times.

LCRA awards $25,000 grant for new school playground equipment

A $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority will help the Richland Springs Independent School District replace old, obsolete playground equipment and bring the playground into compliance with the American with Disabilities Act.

Middle School The San Saba Middle School Tennis Team had a busy week. First of all, they were scheduled to host a tournament here on May 1, but that tournament was rained out. We may try to make it up on May 15.

Dillos Baseball shows resilience in playoff loss to Sabinal

The San Saba High School varsity baseball fought very hard this past week as the Dillos fell to Sabinal High School in their best-of-three playoff series for the 2A bidistrict round.

The First Christian Church will host Baccalaureate Services Sunday, May 23, 2021 at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided for our graduating seniors and guests. Richland Springs ISD high school graduation will be Friday, May 28, 2021, at 7:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Richland Springs.
