Rotary April Student-of-the-Month

Rotary April Student-of-the-Month was awarded to Landri Glover. Each month a different senior student is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student. Recipients are presented to the student body as well as the school board.

San Saba Tennis Report

The San Saba Tennis Teams were busy last week. The JV Tennis Team played in the Mason JV Invitational Tournament on Wednesday, March 30; the Varsity Team played in the Mason Varsity Invitational Tournament on Friday, April 1.

The Brentz Family

The Brentz Family of Azle, Texas, celebrates the graduation of their daughter, Gabriella Amelia, from Belhaven University. Gabriella is the granddaughter of Mary Miller and Jaime Jimenez of San Saba, Texas. Gabriella will receive a Bachelor of Science in accounting.

San Saba Track and Field impresses at Bluebonnet Relays

The San Saba High School boys and girls varsity track and field teams competed on Thursday, March 24, in the annual Bluebonnet Relays meet hosted by Brownwood High School at Gordon Wood Stadium.

Lady Dillos Softball falls to Goldthwaite and Medina

The San Saba High School varsity softball team has really struggled this 2022 season, but the young Lady Dillos were able to show quite a bit of fight and put some quality runs on the board in district losses last week to rival Goldthwaite High School and Medina High School.

JLD wins 4th consecutive tournament championship

San Saba JLD (19-1) picked up their 4th consecutive tournament championship as they defeated the San Angelo Shockerz in the Championship game of the 3rd/4th Grade Girls Division of the 2022 San Saba Youth Basketball Tournament. The tournament was held on Saturday, March 26th, in San Saba, Texas.

5th/6th grade girls of MOE wins 4th consecutive tourney championship

MOE Basketball (20-5) picked up their 4th consecutive tournament Championship on Saturday, March 26th, as they took part in the 5th/6th Grade Girls Division of the 2022 San Saba Girls Youth Basketball Tournament. The tournament was held in San Saba, Texas.

San Saba Elementary gives back

Once again the students at San Saba Elementary had an amazing year with the Kids Heart Challenge (KHC) sponsored by the American Heart Association. Students in Pre K4 through the 4th grade teamed up and surpassed the school goal of $6,000 by totaling up $7,755.56 in donations.

Dillos Baseball crushes Center Point in district opener

The San Saba High School varsity baseball team was in action this past week as the Dillos opened District 29-2A play with a blowout victory at home vs. Center Point High School and then a close loss on the road against a very good Johnson City High School squad.

Dillos Baseball notches another victory

The San Saba High School varsity baseball team was victorious on Tuesday, March 15, at home as the Dillos concluded non-district play with a 9-3 win vs. ISBL Austin Waves.
