San Saba County Museum is sporting a new look

There are now eleven colorful panels that depict San Saba County History across the front of the museum. The theme of the panels is how San Saba County’s water resource is the pivotable point of settlement and the economy, beginning with the earliest native Americans who hunted and gathered here.

A summer cookout for Fourth of July will cost consumers slightly less than last year’s record prices but significantly higher than two years ago, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation’s (AFBF) marketbasket survey. The national average cost of a summer cookout for 10 people is $67.

June 22, 2023 MASON & SAN SABA – Receipts totaled 1,947 head. Demand was very good with an active market this week even with the temperatures and heat index at high levels. The stocker steers sold $2-$4 lower after last weeks strong prices with 15 steers 524 lbs at $250.00 ($1310.00).
