Howard Payne University honored 200 students for academic success during the spring 2023 semester. Students must earn a 4.0 grade point average to be named to the President’s List, a 3.65-3.99 grade point average to be named to the Dean’s List and a 3.5-3.

Beginning at 7 AM Thursday, August 3, the northbound lane of SH 16 at the bridge on Jerry’s Creek will be closed as TxDOT’s contractor installs concrete traffic barrier prior to construction. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.

Dale Rogers from Algerita makes his way to the Courthouse on Wednesdays to sell his produce. I was glad he was still there Wednesday of last week late, around 7:30 p.m., so I could get some tomatoes!
