Local Business moves to new location

Deeds Motor Company was opened by Billy and Merideth Deeds on August 4, 2019, which was also their third wedding anniversary. Their original location was 205 S. High Street which was the old Golding Motors parking lot. Since starting the business, they have sold approximately 1,300 cars.

LaRaye Kelly traveled from Mullin, Texas, early Saturday morning to set up her Trigger Mountain Designs booth. Besides here regular features of beautiful hand-stitched quilts of various sizes, and her delicious preserves, relish, and pickles, etc.
Condition of room on the evening of October 3, 2024. Work had already begun. Walls and ceiling had been repaired and were waiting to be painted. Carpet had been removed, and new carpet was being ordered.

On October 3rd, the News Office received a phone call. Someone was trying to get information about an explosion at a local hotel/motel. The caller didn't have much information at all, but he knew it took place in San Saba, Texas.

On Saturday, October 5th, John Anderson of Williamson County took the first-place trophy at the Black Powder Turkey Shoot hosted by the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Saltworks Camp No. 2353 of Lampasas. The runner up was Gary Lehmkuhler of Copperas Cove.

National Night Out 2024 was a huge success! It was great having so many of our incredible first responders in one place last week at Mill Pond Park. The celebration was held from 5-7 p.m. last Tuesday, October 1st.We had about 120 people stop by.
