New items on display at Pecan Capital Trade Day booth last Saturday

LaRaye Kelly traveled from Mullin, Texas, early Saturday morning to set up her Trigger Mountain Designs booth. Besides here regular features of beautiful hand-stitched quilts of various sizes, and her delicious preserves, relish, and pickles, etc., she had added to her booth some hand-crocheted items including some fun animals wearing hats!

Joining Mrs. Kelly at her booth were Mary Ferris and Tasha Worsman of Mary and Tasha, also from Mullin. They were featuring 'Pocket Ties' which is one of their new accessories created by Mary's dad. You put them on your back pocket.

Tasha explained how her dad got this idea. While looking at some ties while shopping at Goodwill one day, he had a random idea and said he wanted to just put it in his back pocket. He didn't want to always wear a fancy tie so he could be more casual. So, he started making his own pocket ties. He does a lot with embroidery and uses that in making his Pocket Ties. He also makes sports-themed ties. He encouraged Tasha to also start making them for her business. She explained you can also use them to accessorize purses, bags, and luggage. She said you can also put them in your hair if you have long hair.
