Lady Indians CC qualify for regionals

Last week, our cross country team competed at the district meet. In the junior high boys division, Mason Rogers placed 2nd, and Bentley Morris placed 4th. For the junior high girls, Mandi Fry placed 14th, Isabella Rocha placed 20th, and Anika Srishti placed 21st.

Rotary Student-of-the-Month

Rotary May Student-of-the-Month was awarded to Jefferson Stencil.Each month a different senior is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student.Recipients are presented to the student body as well as the school board.

This week is Fire Prevention Week. We had a visit from our Cherokee Volunteer Fire Department. They talked to us about the importance of having smoke detectors and an escape plan in our homes. Thank you to our VFD!

Golden Armadillo Band performs at Harry Bradberry Marching Classic

The San Saba High School Golden Armadillo Band gained great experience performing under pressure this past weekend at the Harry Bradberry Marching Classic in Dublin. Competing against 10 other schools, the band earned 6th place overall in finals.
