Golden Armadillo Band performs at Harry Bradberry Marching Classic

The San Saba High School Golden Armadillo Band gained great experience performing under pressure this past weekend at the Harry Bradberry Marching Classic in Dublin. Competing against 10 other schools, the band earned 6th place overall in finals.

The Drum Majors, Alyssia Torres and Ximena Cuevas, were recognized as the Outstanding Drum Majors of the Day, out of all the bands represented at the contest from class 1A-3A. The percussion section also earned a high score, and finished 2nd place overall.

Judges at the contest offered the group valuable feedback, along with constructive advice to help fine-tune their performance heading into the next competition.

The Golden Armadillo Band is now focused on preparing for the UIL Region Marching Contest, set for Saturday, October 18th, at 10:30 a.m. at Burnet High School. Before then, the band will compete at the Concho Classic Marching Festival on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at San Angelo Stadium.

The Golden Armadillo Band hopes to continue to make improvements each week, showing the true spirit of “Pride the Dillo Way.”
