A few weeks ago, the San Saba High School One Act Play Company gave a very moving performance of their UIL production "These Shining Lives" at the bi-district contest that was held in Kerrville. The company received high remarks from the panel of adjudicators.

SSHS Golden Armadillo Band wins coveted UIL Sweepstakes Award

The San Saba Golden Armadillo Band recently performed in the UIL Region 32 Concert and Sightreading Contest at the Lago Vista Performing Arts Center. The bands performances earned them a first division rating from all judges in both areas of concert and the sightreading.

Pecan Capital Trade Days makes donation for the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration

Joan and Don Van Gorp, organizers of the Pecan Capital Trade Days, presented the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce Directors, Deryl Hoyt, Jr., and Myia Stewardson, with funds collected at the April 3rd event.
