Joan and Don Van Gorp, organizers of the Pecan Capital Trade Days, presented the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce Directors, Deryl Hoyt, Jr., and Myia Stewardson, with funds collected at the April 3rd event. Director Hoyt will spearhead the San Saba 4th of July Fireworks Celebration this year for the Chamber with fellow Directors assisting in specific sub-events. Mrs. Van Gorp provided the collected vendor fees and Easter Bunny photo donations made that day to the Chamber. EDC thanks the vendors and the Easter Bunny volunteers-Mindy, Breana, and McKenzie Kraft-for making this possible. Pecan Capital Trade Days and EDC invite you next month to Trade Days on May 1. Oscar the Grouch with Keep San Saba Beautiful will be there offering a photo op and distributing Take Care of Texas Lone Star Activity Book and crayons to children from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for donations. Bring your cameras, take your own photos, and enjoy Trade Days. The Van Gorps will again give the vendor fees and photo opt donations to the Chamber for the Fireworks Celebration.
