San Saba Tennis Report

On June 13th, the San Saba Tennis Association held an Alumni Tournament with former players, as well as current high school and middle school players. We had 13 Alumni players and seven current players playing in the tournament.

Area student graduates from Abilene Christian University

Tristin Reynolds of San Saba graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Abilene Christian University. Reynolds was among more than 1,200 students who received degrees at May Commencement in a combined ceremony for December 2020 and May 2021 graduates.

John Wayne Brooks of Bend, Texas, earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, on May 15, 2021. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. While in law school, he served as Comment Editor of the Law Review.

Angelo State University announces Spring 2021 graduates

Angelo State University conferred 888 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 884 graduates during the 2021 spring commencement exercises on May 15, 2021, at the Junell Center/ Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas. A full list of the graduates is available on the ASU website at angelo.edu.

SSHS Band students receive high remarks at State contest

Several members of the San Saba Golden Armadillo Band participated in the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest this past week. Our clarinet choir earned a Division 3 (Good) rating for their performance of a Mozart Quartet. Their adjudicator, Dr.
