San Saba Tennis Report

On June 13th, the San Saba Tennis Association held an Alumni Tournament with former players, as well as current high school and middle school players. We had 13 Alumni players and seven current players playing in the tournament.

HPU honors 227 students for academic excellence in Spring 2021 semester

Provided by HPU's Office of University Marketing and Communications Howard Payne University recognized 227 students for academic success during the spring 2021 semester. Students must earn a 4.0 grade point average to be named to the President’s list, a 3.65-3.

Area student graduates from Abilene Christian University

Tristin Reynolds of San Saba graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Abilene Christian University. Reynolds was among more than 1,200 students who received degrees at May Commencement in a combined ceremony for December 2020 and May 2021 graduates.

John Brooks earns law degree from Texas Tech

John Wayne Brooks of Bend, Texas, earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock, Texas, on May 15, 2021. He graduated Summa Cum Laude. While in law school, he served as Comment Editor of the Law Review.

Angelo State University announces Spring 2021 graduates

Angelo State University conferred 888 undergraduate and graduate degrees on 884 graduates during the 2021 spring commencement exercises on May 15, 2021, at the Junell Center/ Stephens Arena in San Angelo, Texas. A full list of the graduates is available on the ASU website at angelo.edu.

The following area student received a degree during the 2021 Spring semester at Sam Houston State University. Jeri Moore, of Cherokee, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Studies as a Spring 2021 graduate.

SSHS Band students receive high remarks at State contest

The San Saba High School varsity baseball team announced on Friday, May 28, that five Armadillos players were honored by being named to the All-District Team for District 29-2A.

San Saba ISD is beginning to plan its Title I program for the next school year and needs your help to determine if there are any students who live in San Saba Independent School District and attending your private non-profit school who may be eligible for Title I services.
