JLD wins second consecutive tournament title

JLD Basketball (13-1) traveled to Goldthwaite, Texas, on March 4/5 to take part in the 2022 Goldthwaite PTO Basketball Tournament. JLD had wins over Zephyr 18-4, Goldthwaite 16-2, and Deleon, in the championship game, 12-4.

The San Saba High School boys varsity basketball team wrapped up a memorable 2021-22 season this past week as the Dillos were in Class 2A playoff action against Sabinal High School in the bi-district round and Freer High School in the area round.

The San Saba Tennis Team will be playing in the Regional 3A & Under Team Tennis Tournament on March 4 - 5. The tennis team will be trying to qualify for the State Team Tournament for the 29th time. Their best results at the State Team Tennis Tournament was second place in 1998.

Goldthwaite, Texas, was the host site for the 2022 Girls Open League Basketball Championships. MOE (8-4) entered the tournament as the No. 4 seed and worked their way to the tournament championship to place second.

Goldthwaite, Texas, was the host site for the 2022 Girls Open League Basketball Championships. JLD (10-1) entered the tournament as the No.1 seed and proved just that as they defeated Llano, 15-4, in the title game to claim the tournament championship.

The San Saba High School boys varsity basketball team clinched its third consecutive district championship title on Friday, February 18, as the Dillos went on the road and beat Johnson City High School 48-33 to wrap up District 29-2A play.

Richland Springs Lady Coyotes varsity girls basketball won their Area game against Blum, 58-26. The game was held in Stephenville last Friday, February 18th. For the Regional Quarterfinals game, Lady Coyotes will play Lingleville Tuesday, February 22nd, in Brownwood at 8:00 p.m.
