MOE Basketball (11-4) traveled to Goldthwaite, Texas, on March 4/5 to take part in the 2022 Goldthwaite PTO Basketball Tournament. MOE defeated Comanche in the championship game of the 5/6 grade girls division, including an impressive 21-10 win over a very talented Stephenville squad in the semi-final round, to claim the tournament title. The seven team tournament field also included Hamilton, Stephenville, Comanche, Dublin, and Burnet. Team members, left to right are: Emma Johnson, Sofia Bagley, Blayklee Reed, Berkley Lengefeld, Kloey Smith, Brooklyn Allison, and Emma Ensor. Not pictured is Jentry Coalson. With the semi-final win over Stephenville, MOE picked up the 1000th win for the basketball program and with the tournament championship win, MOE picked up the 1002 win and the 137th tournament championship for the program since its inception in 2004.
