Lydia DeLeon Turner

Lydia Turner, 58, a longtime resident of San Saba, Texas, passed away on September 2, 2026. She was born to Aurelio and Rosa (Serna) DeLeon on May 18, 1968, in Gregory, Texas.

Lydia worked in public service for many years and was deeply involved in her community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who devoted herself to her family. She adored her grandchildren and would do anything for her children.

Lydia was the strongest woman her children knew. She was the glue that held her family together, always putting the needs of others before her own and offering love, strength, and support whenever it was needed. Her kindness, strength, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Lydia is survived by her mother Rosa DeLeon of Brownwood, her sons Leslie Turner Jr. (Kayti) of San Saba, Ryan Neil Turner of San Saba, one daughter Jessica Turner (Bret) of Richland Springs, her grand children Zoey, Rayden, Hudson, Shyloh, Bentley, Leigha, Payton, Sebastian and Persephone. She is also survived by one brother Aurelio DeLeon Jr, one sister Juanita Iniz Fuentes, nieces Graciela Inez Fuentes and Maricela Fuentes, nephews Manual Albert Fuentes Sr, Austin Alexander Fuentes, Timothy Michael DeLeon, Jesse Phillip DeLeon, Anthony DeLeon, Jeremiah Deal and Amayas San Miguel, two Aunts and numerous cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her father, brother Omero DeLeon and twin baby siblings.

Graveside services will be at 9:00am, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Hillcrest Cemetery in San Saba.

Arrangements are entrusted to Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas.
