Freda Lusty of Temple, Texas passed September 2, 2026 in Goldthwaite, Texas. She was 78 years of age, born on February 10, 1948 in San Saba County to J. D. Lusty and Jackie Martin.
Freda is the daughter of Jackie and Frank McClung of Goldthwaite, Texas and J. D. and Nelda Lusty of Warsaw, Kentucky.
She was a devoted Christian and loved to study the word of God. She was committed to her family and friends, and loved working at the Troy Elementary School.
Freda was proceeded in death by her mom and stepdad, Frank and Jackie McClung; father and stepmom, J. D. and Nelda Lusty; her only sister, Karan (Kay) Wood; and nephew, Keith Douglas Hunt.
Freda is survived by her best friend, Joyce Ann Hux of Temple; niece Kendra Major and her husband Chris; nephew, Kory Wood and his wife Amanda; one great niece, Naquita Major; two great nephews, Kyle Major and Keagan Wood, all of Goldthwaite; and four brothers, Barry Lusty, Anthony Lusty, Lonnie Lusty, and Jason Lusty, all of Kentucky.
Kendra, as a small child, nicked named Freda, Aunt C and that was the way she was known to many.....Aunt C.
We all love her so much and she will be greatly missed.
