HPU nursing program earns 100 percent pass rate on NCLEX-RN

The Texas Board of Nursing confirmed the Howard Payne University nursing program’s 2023 pass rate of 100 percent on the NCLEX-RN at its April 2024 board meeting. The test is a nationwide licensing exam for nurses and provides a measurement of nursing competence.

Sea Turtles Ride A Wave Onto New Stamps

On June 11, the U.S. Postal Service helped raise awareness of the plight of sea turtles with new Protect Sea Turtles Forever stamps. A dedication ceremony for the stamps was held at the Texas State Aquarium. News of the stamps is being shared with the hashtag #ProtectSeaTurtlesStamps.

Mexico’s disregard for U.S. water treaty has Texas farmers on the brink

I’ve been farming 38 years in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. This year represents an unfortunate first for me. I planted crops without irrigation water.Why? Because Mexico is not delivering water it owes the U.S., according to a long-standing agreement.I only planted half my farm this year.
