Receipts totaled 1,900 head. The market started this week off lower with the cattle futures going down due to the stock market drop on last Friday and Monday, but as the week went by it continued to improve and move higher. The stocker steers sold steady with a few choice calves in the upper 400 lbs to 500 lbs were $2 higher with 11 steers 500 lbs at $342.50 ($1712.50) and 1 steer 465 lbs at $400.00 ($1860.00). The stocker heifers were steady to $2-$3 higher. The feeder steers were steady to $2-$4 lower, and feeder heifers were steady to $4 lower. Packer cows and bulls were steady. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test.
