The Little Dog at Church

Yesterday at our 11 o’clock morning worship service, a little boy dog appeared outside the sanctuary doors. Yes, he was extremely hot, dirty, skinny and distraught looking. We had no idea where he came from. He wasn’t a big dog and seemed friendly.

Receipts totaled 1,799 head. Demand continued good again this week. The stocker steers were steady to $2 lower, and the stocker heifers were steady to $3-$4 lower. The feeder steers were steady to $2 lower, and the feeder heifers were $3-$6 higher.

Fire near Buzzard Creek Area

Just a few hours after the San Saba County Commissioners Court voted to reinstate the Burn Ban last Monday, August 12th, a fire broke out on FM 500 approximately 10 miles west of Highway 16.San Saba VFD responded to the call. They used three brush trucks and a military truck.
