Second and Wallace Church of Christ hosted their fourth annual Back to School Pancake Breakfast on Tuesday, August 6th, to kick off the new school year.
The eager workers arrived early – at 5:45 a.m. – to start cooking the scrumptious breakfast.
The pancake flippers were Justin Bell, Ray Deans, James Stewardson, and Farrel Whitley. Other helpers were Ree Charlton, Frances Hibler, Stephanie Hibler, Debbi Kohnle, Cindy Stewardson, Pam Wallace, and Michele Whitley.
With the mouthwatering aroma of pancakes and sausages filling the room, the first family arrived at 6:45 a.m. for a yummy breakfast. Breakfast was served until 8:30 a.m.
The menu consisted of pancakes, sausage links, assorted fruits, juice, milk and coffee.
The Second and Wallace Church of Christ served approximately 50 hungry folks from SSISD with around half of them being students. Six SSISD staff members took advantage of this early morning treat.
The entire volunteer crew cleaned up afterwards, thankful for the great turnout at the fourth annual Back to School Breakfast.
