The students from Performance Talent are excited to be performing at the Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29th from 12:45pm-1:45pm at Riesen Park in San Saba. The entertainers are Hailey Faris (Goldthwaite), Georgia Deeds (San Saba), Jada and Daci Davis (Joshua), Maddi Pendleton (Joshua), Carla Jimenez (San Saba), Everleigh Vallenavedo (San Saba), and Clara and Caden Elkin (Richland Springs). The MC for the afternoon will be Holdin Boswell (Llano), pictured above.

San Saba County Health Fair to be held November 8th

You are invited to join us for the 2022 San Saba County Health Fair on Tuesday, November 8th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This year, we are proud to be back at the Civic Center, located in Mill Pond Park at 1190 Thomas Stewart Drive in San Saba, TX.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In the last year, the Dove Project has helped 162 victims in the direction of escaping and healing from domestic violence or sexual assault In the same time period, we have been able to continue helping 70 prior victims obtain counseling, legal aid, utility/rental assistance, and peer support.

Dillos drown the Eagles, 41-12, in Battle of the River!

It was the 105th Battle of the River and for the 61st time the San Saba Armadillos own the river and bragging rights for the next 365 days. The winless Eagles gave the Dillos a tough fight the first half and went into halftime trailing 6-0 before succumbing to the Dillos in the 3rd and 4th quarters.
The San Saba Golden Armadillo Band performed in the UIL Region 32 Marching Contest this October 15th in Burnet and earned a Division 1 Superior Rating from all three judges advancing them to the Area level contest. The Area contest will be held at Bastrop Memorial Stadium in Cedar Creek on Saturday, October 29th. The band's 2022 UIL program is titled “A Time For Us” and is telling the story of Romeo and Juliet.

Mason - San Saba October 13, 2022 Receipts totaled 1,699 head. The overall market had a steady to maybe a little higher tone this week on calves and yearlings. The stocker steers sold $2-$4 higher, and stocker heifers were $2-$3 higher.

Paul Stewart named October Employee of the Month

The San Saba City Council awarded Paul Stewart, Street Department employee, the 'Employee of the Month' award for October 2022 at the City Council meeting held Tuesday, October 11th. Paul's supervisor, Luis Rios, described Paul as a hard worker.
