Sonia VanGilder is the daughter of Ernest and Virginia Reyes of San Saba, Texas. She lives in Fort Worth, Texas, and has two children, Seth and Sydnei VanGilder.
Her family would like us to celebrate with them as Sonia was recognized by the Family Action Center as an exceptional Leader Behind the Scenes as part of the Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration!
Sonia VanGilder is a teacher at Eastern Hills High School in the Fort Worth ISD and wears many different hats. She is the Female Athletic Coordinator, varsity volleyball coach, assistant track coach, head of the physical and health department, and the school's wellness coordinator.
Sonia is truly a Leader Behind the Scenes. She helps students thrive not only physically, but also academically. Her goal is to teach to inspire others to dream more, learn more, and make positive connections with students to make a positive difference in their lives.
