Dumping animals is against the law in Texas, and those caught can face fines, jail time, or both.Sadly, over the last week five puppies were found dumped on a county road, left to fend for themselves with no food or care.

10 Years Ago August 27, 1925S. L. Kirk, accompanied by his mother, Mrs. S. S. Kirk and daughter Miss Katheryn Kirk have returned from an 8,000 mile trip made in their Chrysler car. Kirk says they enjoyed their outing immensely.

We had another very successful potluck with a great turnout.Thank you to all of the wonderful cooks that brought food to share, and the folks that joined us for a great time.We have ordered a round of new windows to start replacing the leaky windows upstairs in the bank building.

Feeder steers sold $3 higher with 3 steers 722 lbs at $ 338.00 ($2440.36) and 4 steers 853 lbs at $310.00 ($2644.

I spoke with The Great San Saba River Pecan Company on August 14th to get an update on how they were doing after the recent flooding. This information came from that meeting.The Great San Saba River Pecan Company has been there for 37 years. The trees are old; the orchard was already here.
