San Saba County Friends of Animals

Dumping animals is against the law in Texas, and those caught can face fines, jail time, or both.

Sadly, over the last week five puppies were found dumped on a county road, left to fend for themselves with no food or care. They were starving until caring people stepped in to feed them and call for help. The puppies were terrified of human touch, showing the heartbreak of never knowing a kind hand. It is hard to imagine being that little and already not believing in people.

Thankfully their story has taken a turn. The puppies, now called the Vineyard 5, are safe in foster care at Bear Vineyards.

Champ, Merlot, Gouda, Fontina, and Colby are learning what love feels like. They are opening up to gentle touch and beginning to trust. Soon they will be available for adoption and ready for homes that will cherish them.
