Mason & San Saba August 28, 2025Receipts totaled 4,106 head. Stocker steers were steady to $2 higher with 3 steers 528 lbs $422.50 ($2230.80) while stocker heifers sold $7-$8 higher. Feeder steers were $3-$5 higher with 9 steers 740 $350.00 ($2590.00).

The August 12th City Council meeting again saw a large crowd in attendance. This time, many were interested in flood relief, and some wanted to voice their opinion about it.Meeting minutes from City Secretary Sabrina Maultsby was used to write this article.

SSGC August Yard of the Month

Recipients of San Saba Garden Club's August Yard of the Month are Sandra and Rick Baskin, who reside at 210 South Clear Street. Their expansive corner lot is a summer oasis of lush green grass and bursts of color from flowerbeds, yard art containers, pots, and hanging baskets.
