SSHS All-Region Band Clinic and Concert

John Spence and Everett Eidson We had our All-Region Band Clinic and Concert over the weekend and what a concert it was. This was the first time in two years for this event to happen. Our students who made the bands did a phenomenal job representing our school and community at this event.

Down Memory Lane

82 Years Ago April 4, 1940 Mrs. B. J. Park entertained members of the Tuesday Bridge Club and special guests at her home this week. Easter lilies and bridal wreaths formed an attractive setting. Refreshments were chicken salad and strawberry shortcake. R. L.

RSHS One Act Play Advances-3 times!

The Richland Springs High School UIL play for 2022 is Maddalena by Don Nigro. Nigro went back to his hometown in Ohio to research a story from the First World War era where he found bits and pieces of the truth.

Kat’s Bling and Mark’s Things

Kat’s Bling and Mark’s Things celebrated joining the Chamber of Commerce with a Ribbon Cutting on Friday, April 1st. After the ribbon cutting, they celebrated with a First Friday event that included refreshments, live music, and special deals. The store was created by Mark Jr.

2022 Miss Diamondback Jubilee

Miss Britni Roberts was crowned the 2022 Miss Diamondback Jubiliee Rodeo Queen Saturday night at the 50th Anniversary of the Lometa Diamondback Jubilee Snake Round up. She is the 17-year-old daughter of Britton and Keri Roberts of Goldthwaite and is a Junior at Goldthwaite High School.

Community CALENDAR

Items for the Community Calendar are limited to 60 WORDS OR LESS. If they are too long, they will be edited. San Saba County Historical Museum - is now open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. with the exception of Easter Sunday when it will be closed.

April shows announced for Mayborn Science Theater

The Mayborn Science Theater, located on the Central Texas College campus, recently announced its April show lineup. Saturday matinees, weekday matinees and Laser Friday and star tour are on tap during the month. On Saturday, the schedule opens at 11 a.m. with “In My Backyard.
