The Blood Drive hosted by Baylor Scott & White Health on July 18th went on as scheduled even though it was a very hot, 109° day. It was held at San Saba's First Baptist Church on Wallace Street, and a total of 27 units were donated.

San Saba resident Courtnee Cash has been named to the President’s Honor Roll for her work in the spring 2023 semester, a distinction given to those who achieve the university’s highest academic standards. To be included on the President’s Honor Roll, a student must record a “straight-A” or 4.

I enjoy sitting on my screened porch here in Zanesville, Ohio, with my 13-year-old chocolate lab Ellie. Ellie is recovering somewhat from an ear infection (hearing loss now), a twisted back right leg (arthritis or torn ligament) and is blind in left eye. Her tests, meds and vet.

July 20, 2023 Receipts totaled 2,569 head. The market continued to be very strong this week with the stocker steers $5-$10 higher with 2 steers 513 lbs at $276.00 ($1415.88). The stocker heifers were $6-$10 higher. The feeder steers were $2-$5 higher with 9 steers 849 lbs at $220.00 ($1867.

First off, I appreciate anyone that dedicates their life to be a first responder. My story starts with a special police officer, my son, Bucky Boswell, he chose to Protect and to Serve 15 years ago! He worked briefly for San Saba Department, then went to Llano County Sheriff's Office for 14 years.
