My Appreciation to First Responders
First off, I appreciate anyone that dedicates their life to be a first responder.
My story starts with a special police officer, my son, Bucky Boswell, he chose to Protect and to Serve 15 years ago! He worked briefly for San Saba Department, then went to Llano County Sheriff's Office for 14 years. He now serves with the Horseshoe Bay PD. He loves what he does. He has seen good days and bad days. He puts his life on the line each day as he leaves his family!
My story is with the Hamilton EMS. A short time ago, I was battling anxiety and stress. My blood pressure shot up to 168/109 at home. I got to the EMS barn, and my heart rate was off rhythm and blood pressure was running 220/129. Yep, Stroke waiting to happen! The EMS crew was awesome and were quick to get me to make a decision where to be transported. With the help from my husband and brother, and Sergeant Charlie Boyce, I was on the way to AdventHealth Rollins Brook. After arrival, they had problems getting blood from a vein. Yeah, a problem child.
After several hours, they admitted me to the hospital overnight with monitoring. With meds, they were able to get it down. As of today, it's staying down!
I totally appreciate all their efforts to keep me from stroking out!
So PLEASE, if you run across a First Responder, whether it be Police Officer, EMT, or Fire Fighter, pat them on the back and say, 'Hey, we appreciate your dedication to what you do!'
Thanks you all!
