The following information was provided by City Secretary Sabrina Maultsby.In the absence of Mayor Jordan and Mayor ProTem Whitten, appointed Mayor Pro-Tem Shawn Oliver called the December meeting to order, announced a quorum present, and Alderman Michael Nelson led the invocation and pledges.

Steven Newkirk grew up in West Texas with a father who served in law enforcement. He began his career in 1993 with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville, Texas. In 1995, he transitioned to the Lewisville Police Department where He served until his retirement in 2016.

San Saba Garden Club celebrates Christmas Season

The San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) gathered on Tuesday, December 3, for their annual Christmas celebration at the San Saba River Golf Course Clubhouse. Twenty-two members attended, along with new member Tina Gunter and her daughter Pearl.
