JH & HS Principal - Cherokee ISD By Rebecca Sharkey I have spent a great deal of time speaking about raising our level of expectation in order to better challenge all of our students and encourage them to attain new levels of achievement. Raising expectations is a definitive step in aiding students to meet their potential.

Mia Kilman of San Saba, Texas, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Kilman was initiated at Angelo State University.

Basketball season has officially come to an end. District Honors are as follows: Boys: Gunner Baugh - 1st team all-district; Joel Valdez - offensive MVP Tatum Shanklin - 1st team all-district Robert Bench - 2nd team all-district Franky Penney - 2nd team all-district Weston Woolsey - 2nd team all-district Girls: Maycie Shanklin - 1st team all-district Payton Hanley - 1st team all-district Chloe Berrio - offensive MVP Tilar Turman - 2nd team alldistrict Lauren Roberson - 2nd team all-district Lily Graves - 2nd team alldistrict Ariah Ruiz - honorable mention.

Intentional Culture. Several times in my life I have been in a sermon or a safety meeting where I was fairly certain the message was just for me.
