MOE Basketball picked up a second place finish at the 2026 TXBA 'Battle on Lake Travis Travis' basketball tournament on Saturday, April 2. MOE had wins over OBT Hoops 31-4, Centex Attack 38-23, before falling to tournament champ Salado Tribe. Last month the San Saba Garden Club received award certificates from Arlene Boyer, Texas District V Garden Club Youth Awards Chairman, for 35 San Saba Elementary School students who participated in six different categories.

On May 1st, Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11) announced Ms. Judy Aguado Mendoza as the winner of the 2026 Congressional Art Competition in Texas's 11th Congressional District. Ms. Mendoza is a Senior at San Saba High School.

San Saba High School art students celebrated a major achievement this past Saturday as their collaborative mural was auctioned for an impressive $21,000 at the annual Catkins Ball.The 2024–2025 art students worked together to create a vibrant depiction of downtown San Saba in the 1950s.
