Republican Party Update - Early Voting

As you read this, we will already be half-way through October. The hot days of summer have been replaced by the hot days of fall! Some day the temperatures will drop! But what is staying hot is our Election in November. Believe it or not, Early Voting for our November Election starts on Monday, October 19th, and continues through Friday, October 30th. The only Early Voting location for all county residents remains on the 2nd floor of the County Courthouse, across from the County Clerk's office. I strongly encourage everyone to vote early, as this ensures your vote will be counted. If you wait until Election Day and you run into problems with your transportation, your health, or your schedule, you may end up not voting…meaning your vote will not be counted. If you are in town, please make a point to swing by the Courthouse, take a few minutes to catch up with our Early Voting Election Judge, Maybel Anne Blaylock, and then cast your ballot.

If you plan to vote by Absentee Ballot, you must have your application into the County Clerk by Friday, October 23rd. This means IN THE OFFICE, not Postmarked. Any application received after Friday, October 23rd, must, by law, be rejected. When voting by Absentee Ballot, please read carefully all the instructions on all of the envelopes on how to properly fill out the identification items so your ballot can be counted. If the information is not properly filled out on all the envelopes, it could lead to your ballot being legally rejected.
