Heaven
Written by Pauline in her own words of faith and hope.
When I shut my eyes for the last time,
I know Heaven is what I will see.
There God’s angels will be singing,
“She’s come home to Me.”
My life has always been thinking of God
and doing His will.
I found Him when I was ten years old
and was baptized when I was seventeen.
I had a mother-in-law who took me to church
and helped me learn the right way.
She and my mother guided me down the right path in life,
and now I’m here with You to stay.
I hope the example I was
will help my children see
That being close to You, dear God,
is the best place to be.
Because like me they will grow old
and their life will end,
And when they shut their eyes for the last time
they will hear You say,
“Come on in.”
See you in Heaven.
