The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) conducts tests of common commodities to determine to what extent that food may expose a consumer to pesticides. It’s called the Pesticide Data Program. There’s some really good news from the program’s most recent findings.

Dove Tales A Real County game warden received a call from a group of people who were trying to fish on their own property. The caller stated while they were fishing, they were peppered by shot gun pellets and were seeing a lot of dove flying in the area.

Pecan Capital Trade Days

The next Pecan Capital Trade Days will be held April 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in front of the courthouse. There will be lots of baked goods as well as goat soap lotion, Easter gifts, aprons, and lots of gift ideas.

The San Saba County Commissioners’ Court met for a regular meeting on Monday, March 8th, in the District Courtroom. Judge Byron Theodosis called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. Commissioner Kenley Kroll gave the invocation and led everyone in pledges to the American flag and the Texas flag.

I have been thinking a lot lately about mental health issues. I have a couple of people in my life who are having a bit of trouble with anxiety, panic, and depression. If we all looked around, including in the mirror, we’d probably see lots of people with some level of the same sorts of troubles.
