We had several elves (teachers) from the schools help us type these fun letters from the children. As a “Thank You” for their help, their names were entered in a drawing for a $100 cash prize. Mandy Finch (pictured below ) of Mustard Seed Hobbies stopped by the News Office to draw the name for us.

Receipts totaled 6,590 head. The market continued an upward trend that started last week with good demand and activity across all classes of cattle. The stocker steers sold $15-$25 higher and in some instances $40 higher with 12 steers 568 lbs at $432.00 ($2453.76) and 5 steers 440 lbs at $530.

Downtown San Saba was filled with holiday spirit, local flavor, and festive lights as residents and visitors gathered for the annual Sip ’N Stroll, an event hosted by the San Saba County Chamber of Commerce that cele-brates local businesses, Texas wineries, and community togetherness.
