Receipts totaled 2,421 head. The market continued the first week of the new year to be very active with strong demand and moved to higher levels. The stocker steers sold $ 5-$ 10 higher and in some instances
$15 higher with 5 steers 354 lbs at $ 670.00 ($ 2371.80) and 6 steers 503 lbs at 503 lbs $515.00 ($2590.45). The feeder steers and heifers were
$5-$10 higher. Pairs and bred cows were steady on a limited test. The Schaefer Farms 23 Angus bulls avg $6837 with the top selling bull bringing $9750.
