Rotary Club’s September Student-of-the-Month

Rotary September Studentof- the-Month was awarded to Delaney Ellis. Each month, a different senior student is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student.

September's Yard of the month goes to Mike and Linda Allen who live on 1206 West Dry Street. They have lived in theirresidence for 23 years and absolutely love it. The first thing that captures your eye is the massive Pride of Barbados in the front left comer of the yard.

Kickoff funderaiser event for new livestock show barn

On Saturday, September 10, a fundraiser was held to initiate an effort to build a new livestock show barn in San Saba. As most people know, the current show barn is very old, cold and inadequate.

Armadillos bring the “Boom”

The Armadillo football team picked up their third consecutive win last Friday night when they beat the previously undefeated Johnson City Eagles 28-3. The Dillo’s physical run game and hard-hitting defense proved to be too much for the Eagles as San Saba improved to 3-0 on the young season.
