Some of you may say, “I have seen an eclipse before,” or “I saw the eclipse in October. It didn’t really affect me.” The eclipse in October was an Annular Solar Eclipse. The “Ring of Fire' we saw in October was a sight to see, but it didn’t really affect much in town for more than a few minutes.

Howard Payne University recognized 214 students for their academic excellence during the fall 2023 semester. Students must earn a 4.0 grade point average to be named to the President’s List, a 3.65-3.99 grade point average to be named to the Dean’s List and a 3.50-3.

Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association, the oldest and largest livestock association in the Southwest, today announced the TSCRA Leadership Development Foundation, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to develop future land and livestock stewards and leaders.

Cub Scout Pack 55 Pinewood Derby

The annual Cub Scout Pack 55 Pinewood Derby was held on Sunday, February 4th, at San Saba First Methodist Church. Eleven cub scouts participated in the fun event where they raced their hand-built cars down a wooden ramp track that stretched the width of the fellowship hall.
