Private Pesticide Applicator Training April 23rd in Brownwood

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Brown, Mills, and San Saba Counties are partnering together to conduct a Private Pesticide Applicator Training April 23rd in Brownwood, Texas. The training will be at the Brown County Extension Office, 605 Fisk Avenue. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

I loved looking at all the pictures in the paper and on Facebook of the overwhelming response to the eclipse. I ran across a few fuddy duddies, but for the most part it was an awesome event. I’m a little jealous of those folks who were able to get outstanding shots of the corona and flares.

San Saba Total Solar Eclipse stories will go on and on

People really will be talking about this for years to come. You see articles and YouTube videos talking about the rarity of the Total Solar Eclipse that occurred on April 8, 2024. I'm sure you can still find T-shirts and eclipse merchandise to purchase.
Buddy Whitley was chosen as Employee of the Month for April of 2024. Buddy's name was engraved on an Employee of the Month plaque, and he was awarded a gift certificate to a local restaurant. Participating in the award presentation are Parks Supervisor Eugene Bessent (on Buddy's right) and Mayor Pro-Tem Robert Whitten.

Buddy Whitley of the San Saba Parks Department was honored with Employee of the Month award for April, 2024. Buddy has been with this department for about two years. His supervisor, Eugene Bessent, stated Buddy has done a really good job and has really improved the flower beds.
