Receipts totaled 1,978 head. The market continued this week with strong demand. The stocker steers were $5-$10 higher with 8 steers 558 lbs at $382.50 ($2134.35). The stocker heifers were $2-$5 higher with $10 heifers 409 lbs at $420.00 ($1717.80) and 5 heifers 583 lbs at $325.00 ($1894.75).

4-H meeting and updates

There will be 4-H meeting this Friday, April 25th. We will meet at 1 p.m. at the Civic Center. We will have a guest speaker to talk about how to make your own butter.Updates:Stephanie Hibler is working on a team for photography.We are looking for participants and leaders for our 4-H.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the San Saba County Pecan Growers Association will host the annual Pecan Field Day on Monday May 5th at the San Saba Civic Center, 1190 Thomas Stewart Drive. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with the program beginning at 9 o’clock. There will be a $50.

2025 Richland Springs Trade Days

The 6th annual Richland Springs Trade Days, held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025, at The Feedlot in Richland Springs, was a tremendous success!

City's Employee of the Month ~ Brandon Verette

Brandon Verette was honored as Employee of the Month for April 2025 at the City Council meeting held on April 8th. Brandon is the newest employee in the Electric Department. Electric Department Supervisor Denver Daniel, presented him with the award. Mr.
