The Richland Springs Preservation Society held its regular meeting Tuesday evening, April 15th.Franky Soto Sr. reported that work on the roof is complete. The next item to be done is electrical work where it is needed.

The Story Behind the Story

Continued from last week...I was beyond excited to learn that the footlocker that was used to send Felix's personal effects home to San Saba after his death is on display at the San Saba County historical museum right here in town.

Receipts totaled 1,978 head. The market continued this week with strong demand. The stocker steers were $5-$10 higher with 8 steers 558 lbs at $382.50 ($2134.35). The stocker heifers were $2-$5 higher with $10 heifers 409 lbs at $420.00 ($1717.80) and 5 heifers 583 lbs at $325.00 ($1894.75).
