On Saturday, May 10th, the 8U Dillos and 8U White Lady Dillos (Fuller) competed in their district baseball and softball tournaments.Throughout the season and in these tournaments, both teams have battled against surrounding towns such as Mason, Menard, Junction, Brady, Goldthwaite, and Llano.

Receipts totaled 1,797 head. The market continued to be very strong again this week. The stocker steers were $5-$7 higher, and the stocker heifers were steady to $4 higher with 2 heifers 480 lbs at $397.50 ($1908.00). The feeder steers were $5-$8 higher with 6 steers 612 lbs at $357.50 (42187.90).

On Saturday, May 3rd, Cheryl Ayers of Williamson County took home the first-place trophy at the Black Powder Turkey Shoot hosted by the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Saltworks Camp No. 2353 of Lampasas.
