The San Saba Garden Club would like to thank The Community Foundation of San Saba County, Inc. for its donation of $15,000. The Old Mill House in Mill Pond Park is not only our meeting place but is also a regular location for other community and private events.

SSMS Region Band Audition Results

The San Saba Middle School students had a great showing today at the ATSSB Region 29 All-Region Band tryouts. We took 4 students to audition for the region band and ALL 4 students made the top band. Students have to learn 8 scales, a lyrical etude and a technical etude for the audition.
The Richland Springs Preservation Society received a wonderful donation of $2,500 from Omnitrax, the railroad that's coming through the area. This money will go towards our continued renovation efforts on the Old Bank Building. Since the roof was replaced earlier this year, we are systematically replacing the windows in order to have the entire building dried in. We look forward to seeing the economic development that occurs in our area as a result of the railroad.
