Slow and Steady One of my greatest flaws is two-pronged—I have a very hard time being consistent, forming habits, getting into a routine; and when I am consistent, habitual, or routine, it takes very little to knock me out of my groove and monumental effort to get me back into it.

October Honor Day

The Daughters of the Republic of Texas promotes the celebration of Texas Honor Days. The Welcome W. Chandler Chapter invites you to fly the Texas Flag on this day! Gonzales Day (October 2, 1835) The first recognized battle of the Texas Revolution was fought in Gonzales.

Chamber of Commerce Float needs your Business!

This year at the Christmas Parade, we are looking to recreate our awesome small town feel by turning the Chamber Float into a scenescape from San Saba! We will give you the dimensions, and you can use foam board (one sided only) to make your business space.

San Saba Lodge to meet Saturday

On Saturday, October 1st, San Saba Masonic Lodge No. 612 will hold its regular stated meeting. A meal of pot roast will be provided by the Patrick Ian Merriman and served at 6:00 p.m. The Lodge will open at 7:00 p.m. Work will be in the 3rd degree.

Alice in Wonder Land

My friend Zeta came for a visit last week. Her family was members of Abundant Life Ministries that Larry pastored at Asbury Chapel three miles south of Hopewell, Ohio. We ate lunch at Bob Evans, rearranged some shelves in my condo and copied Clara Kish's (also an Asbury Chapel member) poems.
