The Pierian Study Club met for the first meeting of the new year in the civic center hospitality room on Thursday, September 14. An Autumn brunch was served to 25 active members and four associates by the Yearbook Committee.

My husband Larry made his first trip to Mexico with Victor Maldonado in the 1980's. I went with them on a trip to a remote village that did not have electricity. We came back from the trip, and Larry bought an old windmill, bought new parts and took it down to that village.
