The quilting ladies wrapped up, or should I say sewed up, another quilting retreat at Emily’s Haus in Stonewall. We have been going there since 2012 in June and January. The scenery is peaceful and impressive at the same time.

Mason - San Saba January 11, 2024 Receipts totaled 4,260 head. The market continued to move higher again this week with the stocker steers selling $5-$15 higher with 3 steers 532 lbs at $307.50 ($1635.90) and 7 steers 499 lbs at $310.00 ($1546.90). Stocker heifers were $7-$14 higher.

San Saba Rotary Bi-annual Political Forum schedule for Jan. 30th

The Rotary Club of San Saba will be hosting the 4th Bi-Annual Candidate Forum at the San Saba High School Cafeteria on Tuesday, January 30th. The Forum will begin at 6:00 p.m. Candidates from the multiple races will be present and speaking to their desire to represent our community.

Alice in Wonder Land

It is a ccccold, windy and snowy wonder land today. The wind blew away my wonderful plan that I mentioned last week to have my 4 ft. artificial tree on my screened porch the year round with monthly decorations. The tree was blown off the stand, pelted with rain, and some of the ornaments broke.
